Congress 2009
We would like to welcome you and invite you to participate our annual congress which will be held on 25-26 December 2009 in Koh Kong province. Koh Kong is one of the safari world in Cambodia. It offers visitors lots of entertainment. So many things to see and to do.
We are glad to announce that we are on the process of preparing our annual congress for 2009 in Koh Kong province. We host this congress every year for approximately 100 participants – national and international – from different NGOs as well as 11 rehabilitation centers across the country.
We have made a lot of improvement over the past few years and we are still making it. We believe that is one of the reasons that various NGOs which are running rehabilitation service in Cambodia keep supporting the association. This year we receive some funding from The Nippon Foundation to support the operational cost of the congress and The Nippon Foundation has promise to keep this fund available for the next four years.
We are receiving lists of participants from different NGOs and we are still receiving them, and the list keeps going. A number of topics will be presented and discussed during the two days congress including:
- Feedback from Hip Management from Continuous Education 2009 (presented by Mr. Thou Sambath from CSPO)
- Bilateral upper limb amputee (presented by Ms. Judy from Australia)
- Bow leg and Spinal Management and X-ray Reading for Lower Limbs (presented by Dr. Vuthy from Pediatric Hospital)
- Law on Promotion and Protection on the Rights of People with Disabilities (presented by Mr. Sim Soeun from MoSVY)
- Priority Program III to strengthen the well-being of People with Disability and Rehabilitation Step II and the 6 points of Strategic Objective 2008-2009 (presented by Mr. Lav Veng from MoSVY)
