Congress 2009

We would like to welcome you and invite you to participate our annual congress which will be held on 25-26 December 2009 in Koh Kong province. Koh Kong is one of the safari world in Cambodia. It offers visitors lots of entertainment. So many things to see and to do.

We are glad to announce that we are on the process of preparing our annual congress for 2009 in Koh Kong province. We host this congress every year for approximately 100 participants – national and international – from different NGOs as well as 11 rehabilitation centers across the country.

We have made a lot of improvement over the past few years and we are still making it. We believe that is one of the reasons that various NGOs which are running rehabilitation service in Cambodia keep supporting the association. This year we receive some funding from The Nippon Foundation to support the operational cost of the congress and The Nippon Foundation has promise to keep this fund available for the next four years.

Understanding the Different Section of Your Report

Research are generally divided up into sections. Each section has a specific purpose, and often there are specific guidelines for formatting each section. It’s always best to consult a style manual for your discipline, to talk to other people in your discipline who have written reports, and to look at similar reports that have been published in order to more fully understand the expectations for reports in your field.

Generally, a research report will include the following sections:

  • Title page
  • Abstract
  • Table of contents
  • Introduction
  • Body
  • Recommendations
  • References
  • Appendices

A good technical writer can write about a complicated technical subject or task in ways that almost anyone can understand. Our vision is of a world in which all forms of disabilities can be prevented, cared for or integrated, and in which the rights of people with disabilities are respected and applied.

HIB is currently seeking a qualified and motivated Cambodian national to fulfil the position of:

Prosthetist & Orthotist

Salary range: $200

The position is based in TAKEO Physical Rehabilitation Center (PRC), with regular travels to other sites as necessary, and will be contracted until April 2010.

  • Together withthe PT assess, prescribe and advises on the design of the prosthetics/orthotics and rehabilitation aids.
  • Together with PT, assesses and advises on the referral to the appropriate medical agencies.
  • Participate in the IIDM. Implement the CCS instructions for casting, rectification, fitting, delivering and follow up.
  • Gives clear and simple explanation to the Client and his/her family regarding the treatment.
  • Transfer rehabilitation technical skills to the Client and family (ensure client knows what to do when going home).
  • Sets up a follow-up plan for the CLIENT.
  • Take part in and contributes to the process of continuing professional development.

Required Competencies:

Prosthetist /Orthotist diploma Cat.II

Fluent in written/spoken Khmer

English knowledge

Ability to work in a team

Good communication skills

Willing to work in the province

Willing to travel and spend nights in the districts
